An independent verdict, built on presentation and standards.
Verdict Certified Grading (VCG) is a standalone card grading company. We're not a division of a card retailer or auction house — VCG's only business is authenticating and grading cards, which keeps our verdict on your cards independent of anyone with a stake in what they're worth.
Why we exist
Collectors already trust PSA, BGS, CGC, and SGC — and VCG isn't trying to out-shout them on volume. Instead, we focused on one thing the major services haven't brought to the U.S. market: art-matched labeling, an approach pioneered by ACE Grading in the UK. It's a presentation-first differentiator built for collectors who care as much about how a graded card looks as what number is on the label.
How we grade
VCG grades both sports cards and trading card games on a shared 1–10 scale, with category-specific standards for each — because a print line that matters on a TCG card isn't evaluated the same way as a corner ding on a vintage sports card. See our full Grading Scale & Standards.
What's ahead for VCG
We're launching with a focused v1: public pricing, straightforward submissions, and no account required. Two things are coming as we grow:
Public Grade Verification
Once our first grades ship, we're adding a public cert-number lookup so anyone — buyer or seller — can verify a graded card's authenticity and grade directly on our site, no login required.
Full Account Dashboard
As submission volume grows, we plan to add customer accounts with order history and self-serve status tracking, alongside an internal system for our grading team.
